How does it work?

SugaPing is an interactive networking service that means members can promote themselves, their businesses and LGBT events to other members. Becoming a SugaPing member couldn’t be easier.

• Enter your mobile number
• Personalise your account by adding a photo tag
• Promote a group or special interest or event
• When out you ‘ping in’ by texting your location to a special number and you’ll see which SugaPing members are around.

What is ‘Pinging In’?

‘Pinging in’ is sending a texting to our message centre +447781486202.

Whatever location you give us is updated and a text sent out to alert your friends you’re around

For example, Sharon’s just had dinner with friends. She feels like staying out but doesn’t want to text everyone. She ‘pings in’ by texting her location ‘Covent Garden’ to +447781486202 and finds out several friends (and potential dates) are nearby. She texts them free via SugaPing and they link up. She can also check on the SugaPing client, on her phone, where the nearest LGBT event/venue is that evening.

SugaPing saves on text charges

By joining SugaPing you can download the SugaPing Client- a remarkable advance in mobile phone technology which allows you to text other SugaPing members direct- avoiding operator network charges. You can also view SugaPing member profiles, photo tags, events, reviews- whilst on the move.

Create a Private Group

• A sugaPing Private Group is accessible only to members of that community. For example, BLUK could have its own portal on SugaPing to run promotions, list special events, distribute news and connect members - all via mobile phone. It’s a service that works across Europe and could be offered as a perk to sponsors and advertisers. Contents of the Private Group are hidden from other SugaPing members.
